EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 is formulated with 5% high-purity niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to help reduce the appearance of blemishes, discoloration, and photo-damaged skin. Vitamin B3 has been shown to help effectively reduce the appearance of blemishes associated with acne. In a clinical study, as many as 82% of patients with inflammatory acne showed improvement after using niacinamide as a treatment after several weeks. The sunscreen also contains 9% transparent micronized Zinc Oxide to protect the skin against harmful UVA (causes visible signs of premature aging) and UVB (causes sun burn) sun rays that can lead to damage such as sun spots, freckles, burn, and skin cancer. This particular sunscreen is made specifically to adhere to those with acne-prone and sensitive skin, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. UV Clear is fragrance-free, oil-free, paraben-free, sensitivity-free and non-comedogenic. Sunscreen goes on easily and evenly without any residue. The sunscreen is gentle, yet effective and will protect even the most sensitive skin types.
